Digital design technology
From the current situation of urban and rural planning in China, there is an urgent need for a more scientific, comprehensive and rational planning approach in urban and rural planning to truly achieve integrated urban and rural planning. With the changing social environment, the development environment of urban and rural areas has also undergone continuous changes, which has increased the complexity and difficulty of urban and rural planning, resulting in many problems in urban and rural planning and construction. For example, urban and rural planning has placed too much emphasis on urban construction, while planning for regional industries, infrastructure, and rural areas has lagged behind. The lag between the two is increasingly aggravated with the improvement of economic level, resulting in a uneven situation. In addition, due to misconceptions about urban and rural planning, urban and rural planning efforts have focused too much on urban land planning rather than on planning for the urban and rural areas as a whole. These issues have led to the need for urban and rural planning to apply GIS technology. Not only that, but there are other issues in the overall urban and rural planning under the current situation that require the application of GIS technology. For example, data collection and processing, urban and rural planning involves not only the difficulty of data collection, but also the constant changes and development of data. Once the data update rate lags behind, it will adversely affect the results of urban and rural planning and increase the workload and cost of urban and rural planning. Moreover, the traditional manual collection and processing of data are more prone to errors. Therefore, it is also necessary to use GIS technology to provide scientific data support for urban and rural planning.

The task of this course is to introduce the theoretical basis and technical use of VR and AR technology step by step from the essence and application of VR and AR technology itself. Taking into account both theory and practical operation, students can master the basic knowledge and engineering foundation of VR/AR, have the ability to solve complex engineering problems in the design, operation and maintenance and engineering application of VR/AR systems, and be trained and improved in theoretical knowledge and practical operation skills.
Social innovation design
"Social Innovation Design" is a compulsory course for undergraduate students majoring in Environmental Design. It aims to cultivate students' social innovation thinking and design abilities, guiding them to solve social problems and promote social progress through design. This course will introduce the basic concepts, principles, and methods of social innovation, allowing students to understand the significance of social innovation and its role in solving real-world problems. The content of the course includes but is not limited to the following aspects:
Overview of Social Innovation: Introducing the definition, characteristics, and influence of social innovation. Students will understand the differences between social innovation and traditional innovation, as well as the positive role of social innovation in social and economic development.
Analysis of Social Problems: Through case studies and research practice, students will learn how to identify and analyze social problems, understand the root causes and influencing factors behind the problems. Students will learn to use various research methods and tools to gain in-depth understanding of the current situation and challenges in their fields of interest.
Innovative Design Thinking: Guiding students to apply innovative thinking to problem-solving from multiple perspectives and propose feasible solutions. Students will learn to use design thinking tools such as brainstorming, user personas, and storyboards to develop innovative viewpoints and concepts.
Social Innovation Practice: Through team collaboration projects, students will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have learned to practical social innovation projects. They will collaborate with non-governmental organizations, social enterprises, or public institutions to solve specific social problems and propose innovative solutions.
Sustainable Development and Ethics: Emphasizing the connection between social innovation and sustainable development goals, exploring the impact of innovative design on economic, social, and environmental sustainability. At the same time, the course will guide students to reflect on ethical issues, ensuring that their designs comply with moral standards and social values.
This course cultivates students' comprehensive qualities and innovation abilities through various teaching methods such as theoretical lectures, case analysis, workshops, and practical projects. Students will gradually improve their ability to solve social problems and promote social innovation through participation in discussions, group collaborations, and individual assignments.

Introduction

Art sketching practice
Art painting practice is a required practical class of digital media art major, aims to cultivate the students' comprehensive quality and ability of a form, through its training course to develop the ability to keen observation and capture object, learn to use the language of painting to reproduce the objective things, make students understand and know natural beauty, further improve the artistic and aesthetic ability.
Art investigation and innovative design practice
The teaching of the Art Investigation and Innovative Design Practice course mainly consists of three parts: basic theoretical teaching, art investigation and research, and course design practice.
The course focuses on the cultivation of basic qualities and design application abilities, combining theoretical teaching, investigation and research, and design practice teaching. It emphasizes professional diversity, breaks the boundaries of professional direction, and strengthens the connection with professional courses. The course fully utilizes the artistic investigation of ethnic and folk cultural resources and combines it with professional teaching, allowing students to understand the basic characteristics of various arts such as ethnic and folk culture. It applies cultural and artistic elements to professional design, forming a combination of diverse art and modern design.
Design understanding and research
Design knowledge and research is to let students go out of school, on-site visits, interviews, the object for a regional cultural heritage, travel agencies or design agencies, to understand their background and business trends, collection of photos and text information; By referring to the domestic and foreign research status-papers, literature or successful design cases, analysis of its business model and audience, and how to reflect the current value. Let students understand its basic artistic features, and artistic features, operating mode, cutting-edge technology and so on, applied to professional design, training students to form a diverse design style, for the follow-up courses can be designed to create innovative design work to lay the foundation..
Graduation project (thesis)
Graduation design is the summary and improvement of students' four years of study in school, which can comprehensively and deeply test the knowledge and comprehensive quality. Students combine theory with practice through graduation design and social practice, or explore and create topics according to their majors, so as to further improve their professional quality and practical ability and consolidate their design ability and theoretical level during the whole process of graduation design. Improve communication skills, relearning ability and adaptability to prepare for entering the society.
In the form of graduation design, the pursuit of traditional and modern integration, the method of expression requires the combination of art and technology, and the style reflects the combination of nationality, times and personality. Students can give full play to their strengths under the reasonable principle according to the topic selection, and fully display the content of graduation design.
