Windows 7 PC – Now In Your Phone!

Well, it’s FINALLY here!  Yes folks, a fully-fledged Microsoft Windows 7 PC … in your smartphone!

Huzzah!

Fujitsu Windows® 7 F-07C Mobile Phone

Fujitsu Windows® 7 F-07C Mobile Phone

Sort of.

Yes, the Fujitsu F-07C is a phone.  A real live phone.  And yes, the Fujitsu F-07C is also a PC.  A full-blown Intel Atom Z600 at 1.2GHz,  1GB of RAM, 32GB SSD, IEEE802.11b/g/n, 5.1 megapixel camera, 1024×600 4 inch touchscreen, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit real live OS PC.  With a slide-out querty keyboard that even has a trackball and left-mouse button and everything.  (I wonder why no right-click?)

It even comes with a two-year license for Microsoft Office Personal 2010!

Okay, so when running Windows it has only a mere 2 hours of battery life.  But when running in phone mode it has 370 minutes talk time and 600 hours in standby.

But the real flaw?  It’s only available in Japan.

Darn it all!

Because this, my friends, is the phone I’ve been waiting for!  Finally I can actually contemplate the real day when I can run real live applications from my phone, not just “apps”.

The funny thing is, I don’t see Fujitsu mentioning either GPS or Bluetooth, which are pretty much givens with cell phones.
