About InsanIT.net

Years ago I wanted to create a website where informative articles could be found about things like the difference between a Pentium 4 Willamette and a Pentium 4 Northwood and goofy things like that, in a way that the common person could understand and appreciate. It was going to be called InsanIT, and was going to help people make sense of the crazy world of information technology.

Well, that dream is just too much of a pain in the behind for one man to do!

And expensive.

So instead, today, I’ve made it a blog. My blog. The blog of an ‘eccentric’ IT guy. I was a senior software engineer, until I went freelance contractor. I also maintain, spec, and build my own computers and have been responsible for hardware as well as software in jobs past. I won’t say I know it all, but I will say I’ve seen my fair share.

In this blog you’ll find … well … whatever I decide to write. Some of it will be techie, some of it will be layman, and some of it will just be nuts. :) It’s not just about the insane world of information technology, but also about the simple joys of living in our modern world. And whatever else I feel like ranting about. ;) Like smileys that only sometimes work.

I’ll try to help you make sense of the crazy world of Information Technology.  That is the heart and mind behind InsanIT.net.
