Microsoft Office 2007 – A Whole New Reason To Hate All Things Microsoft

Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007

So with my hun’s new computer I bundled in Microsoft Office (Home and Student) 2007, at her request. Well, at her request for Microsoft Office. I chose the 2007 version because A ) it was the latest and B ) it was the only version Newegg had.

I’ve now had the displeasure of using MS Office 2007. I have never in my life longed to jump back to Open Office more! Oh my f___ing god, his orchestra, choir, and bellboy!

Okay, now I’ve known for quite some time that Microsoft is completely out of touch with their customer. But I didn’t really think that they were that far gone! One might be tempted to think that the 2007 stands for the year in which the version was released. But no. They would be wrong. The 2007 in this case stands for how many extra seconds it takes you to do anything! How do you turn a simple text editor like Word into something that no one can figure out how to use? Upgrade it to 2007!

Freaking hell!

It should have been obvious by the funky packaging that they sent it in. But I don’t think anyone really could have expected it to be that bad. Is Microsoft studying autism? What the hell gives?

Secretaries across the world must be screaming in every language known to mankind (and a few unknown ones too I’ll bet) after their IT department “upgrades” them to Office 2007!

And I thought Windows Vista was bad!

All that I can say is thank the gods that piece of s__t isn’t installed on my computer! I’ll take my Open Office and actually be productive, thanks.
